Last year the organiser wouldn't allow late entries.
My Wife won the Siabod Race the week before, and I thought he may let her enter as the womens field is generally pretty thin. But even though she'd do well he wouldn't have it at all.
As it was I think around 1/5 didn't show on the day. Pretty dissapointing really.
I didn't enter this year as its after my WHW race in which I tend to get injured, and I didn't want to take a place if I wasn't definately running.
I'll bear you in mind BigO, but currently can think of no good reason why I shouldn't use my entry... bah!!
I've still got nearly 2 months to get injured though!!

Be aware that the organisers rules:
The consequences of substituting race numbers and not telling the race organisers can create very serious difficulties if you subsequently have an accident.4. NUMBERS must be collected in person. Neither names or numbers may be substituted.
If you do obtain another number please contact the race organiser and make sure that they agree to your substitution. Do not be surprised if the organiser turns down your request. You may think that it is just a minor action, but the organiser may have a large number of similar requests at a time when he may have many other things to do for the race.

If it happens, it happens if not... cest la vie life goes on - i'll probably watch a race for the first time ever!! (with a hoooge hangover!)
I've watched it for the last 2 years BigO. This is the first year I had the bottle to put in for it.
It's great to watch. Unbelievable fast descents, and lots of accidents. Whatever you do, don't call out to any runners - they just trip over in front of you if they take their eyes off the path for a second!
I think I'll walk this bit....
Wow!!! This sounds like good fun, may pop down and watch myself.
Wow, I could end up getting more for my Snowdon number than a copy of SMOTS at this rate!!!!
