UK Hillwalking forum, ( is some kind of offshoot from a climbers forum) which I have been following lately, appears to be far more innovative than here. For instance today has 60+ threads going on "Down the Pub" without ever once mentioning the word ......TODAY :thunbdown:

They have some cracking spats, which is hardly surprising as climbers completely bonkers. But it does remind me of the good old days on FRA.....

I like the fact that we don't have too many spats on here... It got pretty horrid on Runners World, where everyone seems to be continuously and purposefully at each others throat! Don't get me wrong, quite like a good argument, but this forum is blissfully pleasant and quirky enough to make me stay

But it does remind me of the good old days on FRA.....

I too have fond memories of the old FRA forum. When i first joined in 2005 i remember some guy called Big Ender arranging to meet up with another forumite and suggesting that he make an appointment with his dentist because he would need it after the smacking he was going to give him. Happy days
