    English Schools Champs 2010/11

This event returns to Sedbergh School for a third, and probably final year, for now. Sunday 26th September 2010 is the date. Will Westholme be able to retain their trophy, or will a mixed school win for the first time? See the advert in the Fellrunner and esfrc.org for details for this.

Sedbergh have set a very high standard, but it is time to move on for 2011, as much to give Jon Richardson a rest. So, we need a new venue for next year. If any School or Club would be interested in hosting this event, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss what is needed.

I think this has been a great develepment and having Sedbergh set the bar so high was stroke of genius as well. It would be a shame to see it move but I agree that it ought to, I hope its taken on my a school rather than a club just to maintain that slightly different feel to it.

I was wondering if is there's any info available on the routes for the races? I know where the start/finish field is, but can't tell where the races actually go.

    Any pointers?

There were maps and elevation profiles available on the esfrc website last year. Not sure if they are on the current website as I cant remeber my login

Entries are open for the ESFRC.

Go to www.esfrc.org to register and enter (preferably through a school!).

We are using online payment this year, which seems to be working pretty smoothly at present. Get your entries in!!

The online system seems "School Friendly" but is it OK for individuals?

Is entry on the day available?

This is a schools race, so entries are encouraged to be through Schools, e.g. Westholme.

However, we are aware that some schools are not that interested in Fellrunning, so we do allow parents to enter school teams (even if they are only 1 strong). What we do suggest is that they try to entice some other school pupils to come along and give it a go!

I did also ask if there was entry on the day - can you confirm please Lecky?
