Finally...after 5 months of not showing my face I feel I can now re-appear.
I dont want to blab on, but due to the nausea issue ive had, it completely stopped me running, cycling or doing anything physical what so ever, and I couldn’t face coming on here to post or even to look because I found it soul destroying.
Ive badgered and badgered my specialist at the hospital and Ive finally been put on some tablets that seem to be helping.
On Tuesday I went for my first run in god knows how long, on my old 4 miler I used to do across the field. I still felt abit naff, but nowhere near like I used to do, and although I wasn’t exactly flying my fitness is still in there somewhere.
Ive just got back from run no.3 of the week and felt pretty damn good today. Joss my dog has been with me on each run and it is an absolute joy to get out there with him, battle the elements, fight through the struggle of poor fitness and to get muddy again.
Im trying not to get too optimistic that im back for good, but at least its some progress. Im not setting any targets, goal or aims. Im just going to do my own thing, gradually get my fitness back and pray the tablets do the trick. My IT bands are tight as hell too so im going to have to make sure I dont over-do it and blitz the foam roller religiously.
Apologies for being a recluse for so long, but hopefully i'll be forgiven.
