With you on that. Be careful how you get your rocks off!
The Tim Booth comment at the bottom re. Gordon Brown is pretty funny too.
How embarrassing it must be for Primal Scream that they don't even know their own song.
It was a Dandy Warhols number
Cutting Edge :/
I can only assume you're refering to the fact the Tories claimed the song was in fact the Dandy Warhol hit Bohemian Like You. Of course they only said that after they realised Primal Scream had issued their strong statement.
Funny how every one there says it was Rocks Off but then again I think we can agree that politicians of both persuasions can be lying bastards!
The confusion appears to have begun when Labour MP Kerry McCarthy, tipped off by someone in the hall, wrote on Twitter than the Primal Scream song was used and posted a link to the lyrics.
Tipped off by journalists at the conference who had received confirmation that the offending track was played, the band's management issued the strongly-worded statement from the musicians.
It said they were "totally disgusted", strongly opposed the Tory-led coalition Government which was "waging a war on the disenfranchised" and "would like to distance ourselves from this sick association".
After doubts emerged over the truth of the Twitter reports however, the official in charge of sound at the conference confirmed that he had no Primal Scream on the iPod used to store the conference soundtrack.
Ms McCarthy said the two songs "admittedly sound similar".
from the Daily Telegraph.
They played them both on 5 live this evening and confirmed that whistleblower was wrong.
Fair enough Bohemian Like Me is hardly appropriate though!!
