If you'd been in a pub at the same time as him you'd know :w00t: Lots of "Hey!", "Wow!", "Fantastic man!" always really enthusiastic. He took over Harry Griffin's column in the Guardian, hence this piece. Wrote lots of outdoor educational style stuff in the 1960s and early 1970s.
