I realise they are just a couple of young lads having a bit of a giggle, but they came across as being a little bit silly. Couple this with every time Alistair wins an ITU World champ race he grabs a Yorkshire flag as he runs down the finishing straight and they are risking alienating themselves to the rest of us Brits. In said ITU races they are representing Britain, when they stand on the podium to receive their medals they play the British national anthem (not on ilkley moor bah tat).It is the British public who through their taxes and lottery funding have enabled their talent to prosper,so a little acknowledgement of being British wouldn,t go amiss. Like I said they are still quite young lads but I think someone from their coaching staff needs to advise them to tone it down a little.
As previously stated, what a load of bollocks!!

Great lads, very talented and seem to be nice with it. So what if they're proud of coming from Yorkshire? If the rest of the UK have a problem with that (..or is it just you??) then tough titties!!! They're winners and that's what matters.

    Go Yorkshire!!!!

(This is the second thread bashing yorkshire folk in recent days. Jealousy is a terrible thing!! :wink

I heard they were born after an immaculate conception(they are from God's County after all) in a cattle shed near Burnsall. Apparently white roses grew up from the fell sides and even the sheep said what lovely lads they were....

    Re: The Yorkshire Brownlees

A few months ago Stef and I were in Buffers cafe and a load of cyclists came in and asked for tea and cakes etc. Among the group were the Brownlees and they were extremely polite. I was very impressed by their demeanor and general attitude

The Brownlees are top lads (and fell runners) too. We should back them in every way and wish them every success for 2012!
