    Reading this on the main FRA website will give you the best idea of what is required, and to some extent why. As regards additional clothing over and above what the RO defines on the day, just imagine what you would be glad to have with you (that is viable to carry!) if you had to stop out on the fell; wet and muddy. It's a very long way back once you are cold. However, the main thing is - have a great time.
    Even I don't know who The Grump is.

    Is it a good idea to scoff lots of dates whilst out on the fells?

    By the way, you wouldn't happen to be taking part in this year's Vegan 15 Peaks, would you?
