    Unhappy ....After fellrunning

I half hijacked a different thread after a comment from Noel, so thought it best to start a new one

So the question is : After a fruitful and enjoyable many years fell running your knees start to give out and your reactions prevent you from charging down hill what do you want to take up to fill your time?

    Noel suggested - Wildlife Photography
    I suggested - Wood Carving

Anybody else have any suggestions that might tempt me in the distant future?

I'll probably start swimming again but mostly eat cake and pork pies.

    Re: ....After fellrunning

After a series of repetitive injuries from fellrunning I am now mostly doing triathlons - with the odd fell race. Breaking up the constant running with swim/bike training has helped my injuries a huge amount, but my running has deffo suffered as I only put my trainers on 2 or 3 times a week.
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

How about helping with coaching, marshaling, registration, results, even race organisation?

    FRA disciplinary committee panel member?

Isn't that want failed runners do?

You would hope that most do that while they are still running not wait until after they have finished

Biking would be a good option if the knees still worked... I always had kayaking down but supposedly that's really harsh on the hips so not that ideal..

I think the main thing about fell running is the situations so I'll probably go for Salmon/trout fishing up remote glens... or get back into SCUBA diving...

I'm pretty lethal with the old irons, play of scratch, so may go back to golf...

Bogey or scratch.. always confuse the two...
