    Unhappy Bowland Circuits Cancelled

I put a post on the Training Section saying that some fellrunners were trying to organise circuit training classes at Bowland High School starting on Wednesday 30th.

I'm afraid this idea will have to be cancelled.
There was an initial flurry of interest which has now dwindled to a probable four. With a hall hire rate of £250 for 10 sessions it needs 10 definites to cover the cost.
    Maybe another time.

I know it's not the right section but I'm trying to give it visibility to make sure no-one turns up and is disappointed.
It's a bad plan if it can't be changed

trying to get fell runners doing circuit training is surely like trying to get blood out of a stone. Anyone who has had the pleasure of running on the fells knows stuff like that is only for when your injured.
dont know where im going, dont know where ive been, all im doing is running, running to have fun.

I think it's a great idea for keeping up winter fitness. But the 8pm start would have put me off, even if I did still live in the area - too late to be doing intense exercise, IMO ...

I think the 8pm start was an off-putting factor for many people.

8pm start circuit training (more like 8:15 - 8:30 for me) was the reason I stopped a few years ago. I was still buzzing at midnight, even if I'd been ready for bed beforehand.

Was good enough for Rob Hope when he lived over this side of the Pennines, and not when injured - apparently he was a regular at Kirkstall Leisure Centre circuits (a different session to me but with same trainer) before running or cycling home to (I believe) Guiseley - even going along the flat towpath at times.

shame but i guess the relatively remote venue did not help.
Our O club has shifted membership base from Preston to Lancaster so we now drive there for circuits! (too far really even tho we car share)
If Bowland did circuits in Longridge we would consider it!

Kingfisher Gym in Longridge has a CT class @ 6pm Thursdays

Matt Moorhouse also ran a class in the Sports centre.
