    BG Training in Sheffield

    Hello

I am hoping to do the Bob Graham next summer and looking for people to do evening/ some occasional weekend Bob Graham training with around Sheffield/ Peak District area. I will be going to the Lakes as much as I can over weekends and holidays.

    Cheers

Look at the Kinder Dozen/Kinder Killer/Derwent Devil/DP 15 Trigs/DP 4 County tops as part of your training.

you cant beat reps of parkin clough. yorkshire bridge to win hill summit. its 300m of ascent in a kilometer and is a good yardstick to have in head when things get tough on the round itself

Might go Win Hill tomorrow! Parkin Clough is a good en.. Haven't been up in a while. The cycle there usually puts me off a run though :P

Russ one of my training partners used to cycle there and then run up and down it with the bike on his back as training for the PPPcx. And they call fellrunners crazy

There's some folk in green lurking about somewhere south of the city, start getting a bit too 'local' down that way for me though.

That sounds like fun!?! I've carried the bike up the top but not running! Might need to drill some holes in my seat to lighten the load haha

Few miles to Burbage and an hours run is sounding more like it today, skyline as suggested. Going to take some photos seen as its such a beautiful day!

Yes you are totally right. Up and down Parkin i'd great for building those ascent legs. I like doing it as well because when you've finished your reps its not far back to the car for the drive home.
