Got these last week via a phone order from the NB Shap Shop.
Bargainous price of £20 plus £4.50p+p Fedex delivery.
First impressions when you take them out the box is "these look small!"
On advice from the sales assistant I went half a size up to an 8.5.
With trainer socks on they are a nice snug fit. They feel like there is no cushioning compared to typical running shoes however they are in fact very comfortable walking about. They are also extremely light compared to my Saucony running shoes.
I tried them with Sealskinz socks and they felt too small so I would suggest if you want to wear them with thick socks you go a full size higher than you would normally take.
The tread on the sole is a lot more agressive than it looks from online pictures - perhaps 5mm.
I have only run in them once so far and that was a 10k on a treadmill but they were very comfortable and I didn't get any joint or knee pain - i'm new to running and sometimes get a sore knee and lower back once i've finished a run but nothing with these to speak of.
Hopefully get out into the Campsie Fells on Saturday to try them in muddy, wet grass and bog conditions and see how they perform in the clabber.
Chuffed with them for the price so far.
