Our local Clougha Pike has stunning views across Liverpool Bay to Snowdonia and across Morecambe Bay to the southern Lake District, it will always be a favourite. However, the big tops on the W coast of Ireland are very special; Carrauntouhill then traverse across the back wall of the Eagles' Nest corrie to Beenkeragh, or Mount Brandon over 3,000 feet and the Atlantic Ocean on three sides!
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Blencathra. When I pass Blencathra on the way into Keswick for a Lakes trip, it always feels like I'm at home. It was my first ever run in the Lakes, and the first hill I ever took my daughter up, when she was 10 months old.

I should say Ill Bell, where Lost in the Clouds proposed to me 14 years ago. But (sorry love) always Wansfell for me, with its protective arms around the vale of Ambleside and distinctive shape of home. I'm sorry the windy ladder over the summit wall has gone though.

I don't know what you lot are on about with your piddly little hills. There is only one mountain in Britain:

    And thats Roseberry Topping

Chinley Churn... I run or bike up it almost every day and never get bored. Great views of Kinder, not too many other people and some cracking cheeky trails for mountain biking... just don't tell everyone...D'oh!

    Coniston Old Man.

But when in Spain I just love going up Penon de Ifaach. (See Avatar)
