Hi All,
Weighted myself this morning and clocked in at 82.9 :-) [ Last Wednesday 84.3. - so a weight loss of ~3lbs]
My simple plan I've been using for the last few days is carefully monitoring what I eat and keeping an eye on the calorie in take.
From last Wednesday:
Wed : 1200 Calories
Thurs: 1554 Calories
Friday: 1550 Calories
Saturday: 1750 Calories (Wife trying to make me fat)
Sunday: 1900 Calories (Wife again :-( )
Monday: 1400 Calories
Tuesday: 1600 Calories
In the last week I've had very little sweet food. I'm nibbling a good bit on baby carrots. Don't know what the people in work are thinking with all the crunching from me.
On top of that I try to do some sort of exercise every day like:
[1] Cycle to Work (10 mile round trip)
[2] Jog / Train
[3] Walk
I'm not monitoring the calories burned. Just monitoring the calories in.
The Summer season of evening hill running in Dublin starts tonight with a charity relay race and the league proper starts next week. All excited. Weather is awful in Dublin perfect for the hills!!!!

Gfood luck with the hills. I have found that losing wweight makes a massive difference to the ability to get up hills. Not really rocket science, I know, but I've just come back from a trot up Pen-y-Ghent; even with a bad leg and not really much specific hill training behind me, I did it faster than I used to, when I thought I was reasonably fit!
I have been running with Pennine two and a half years now. I still clearly remember a decent when I was not with them long. I was last (as usual) and one of the experienced blokes stayed back with me. He commented to me that in a couple of years I would be up there with the leaders! I was taken back a bit by that. But here I am a couple of years later and I would be a comfortable mid-packer on the club training runs. Experience/confidence on the rough ground and the drive to get the body in better condition over the past 9 months has been the main driving forces. The weight issue especially has made a massive difference to my climbing ability. I held a Kg of sugar the other day and thought to myself I used to carry 10 of those, I was horrified by the thought!
I suppose there are many people out there who could echo the same comments.
Good morning Pat, 77.4kg, slow but in the right direction

I believe today is weigh in day. Mine is 82.2kg. It'll be good to see everyone going in the right direction.
Thanks

If you're not running fast enough, walk instead!!
G'Day Pat,
Clocked in at 81.9 this morning. So down a kilo in the last seven days. Slow but delighted I'm consistent in the right direction. Made a big effort yesterday to get below the 82Kg
1/ Walked to Work - 5 miles
2/ Cycled home
3/ Had a 6 mile real slow and easy jog last night

I was 70.5 when I got up this morning then went for a flat 6.2 mile run at 7:16 min/mile (750 KCal according to RunKeeper). At this minute I am probably below the 70 Kg but I have to stay with the 70.5 measure which means no change now for about 6 weeks.
I've broken my rule and weighed myself, I've lost about 4-5kgs since February and I need to lose 3.5kgs to reach my Stillman target of 67kgs. Looking at myself I think I could lose a bit more than that and not look unhealthy....
