I'll be running it for Calder Valley, I will give you a tip, DONT FOLLOW ME I WILL BE LOST !!!
Done this race several times and even though it has been good weather every time there have been people going in all directions.
After the relays last year I would advise everyone to look out for checkpoint one
I followed one of the Calder Valley tops in this race a few years back, and it didn't do me any good. I wonder if they employ decoy runners?""Calder Valley and Tod vests are worth watching over the moor tops""
The runner to follow (if he's there this year) is one of the visiting Springfield Striders, he'll be the one in the bandana.
If I do this race I will NOT be wearing my CVFR vest. This will not be a strategy to help me get a better placed finish, but one to stop me from being lynched afterwards for leading runners astray.
Navigate? I could get lost in a phonebox .
I don't think it's fair to have a checkpoint 1
For Navigation cock ups, I can beat anyone's - last year I couldn't find the *start* in time for the race.
There was mass hilarity at the registration of the next day's race when I explained why I hadn't completed the series.
This is a great three day event - can't wait for it this year.
