    Hello egor

The map is given out when you register so you get about an hour to study the check points and your route choice's.
I did it last year and enjoyed it even though I made 1 good call and 2 bad ones.
Calder Valley and Tod vests are worth watching over the moor tops.

Done this race several times and even though it has been good weather every time there have been people going in all directions.

After the relays last year I would advise everyone to look out for checkpoint one

(Though technically, if you're following me, I won't be. So go ahead if you want to. All I'm saying is, there might be better strategies to employ.)

I followed one of the Calder Valley tops in this race a few years back, and it didn't do me any good. I wonder if they employ decoy runners?
The runner to follow (if he's there this year) is one of the visiting Springfield Striders, he'll be the one in the bandana.

If I do this race I will NOT be wearing my CVFR vest. This will not be a strategy to help me get a better placed finish, but one to stop me from being lynched afterwards for leading runners astray.

Navigate? I could get lost in a phonebox .

    I don't think it's fair to have a checkpoint 1

Several teams at the relays didn't think there should be a checkpoint 1, either.

    Re: Reservoir Bogs

For Navigation cock ups, I can beat anyone's - last year I couldn't find the *start* in time for the race.

There was mass hilarity at the registration of the next day's race when I explained why I hadn't completed the series.

This is a great three day event - can't wait for it this year.
