    Feet in the Clouds review.

Feet in the clouds review at Caught By The River. Doubtless I will have got something wrong (and I certainly should have subbed it more thoroughly) but, hey ho.

"The Art of Camping" is a book about camping that might appeal to those that aren't right fond of canvas.

You're welcome. It's a brilliant place. I happened upon it when they ran an obituary for a dear chum of mine a couple of years ago and have visited every day since to see what gems lay in wait. It's possible to spend hours meandering through its pages. How come the Nordic "fjell"?

Re: Feet in the Clouds review.

How do you mean the Nordic "fjell"? The north of England was occupied/settled by norse rather than saxon settlers so many of the terms for land features are of norse origin: fjell = fell; bjaek = beck; foss = force (waterfall); tjorn = tarn. You also see it in road names: gate which means "way" rather than "barrier". Since fell running began in northern England why not use the local terms?
