Bog at 18miles, where'd you find that?
I went into one on Brown Knoll, thankfully just up to the knee, unlike a recce 2 years back where I was up to my hips, thankfully was with Calder Valley lads who pulled me out!
Edale MRT have had a busy couple of days: https://www.facebook.com/edalemountainrescue?fref=ts. Many thanks to them for keeping everyone safe.

Echo the sentiments above - big thanks to marshals, supporters, RO & mountain rescue. Knowing that these folk were out on the fell in today's conditions was immensely reassuring. Hope those who were attended to by Edale MR and paramedics make a swift recovery. Hypothermia felt all too close for comfort for me for a lot of today's race.
FutureMatt - I too ended up well beyond waist deep in a bog, though on Brown Knoll. Thankfully managed to pull myself out and there was a passing hiker who was coming my way to lend a hand if needed.

Perhaps he got lost on the first half or maybe it just felt like 18 miles.
Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
The Brown Knoll bog monster got me waist deep one Sunday morning. Not a nice experience on your own.
