I await the final entry list with baited breath. I know i'm in, but i don't know if any of my friends are. They weren't on the 21st December facebook update, at any rate.

looking at the dark peak website the cut off at mam nick is about 11 miles into the race anyone any idea of the ascent?

Oh bugger, I've been a nitwit and left it too late.
We have the same thing with our road half marathon - open early, sell out. Then people get injured, fat, new job, sent on a course, etc., and find they can't make it. Out of 2000 entries, we get about 1500+ turn up and run.
Don't suppose there's any kind of Skyline matchmaking service for cancellations/too slack to enter on time? Ah well
Depends on the RO and when he can fit all the organisational stuff in and how busy they are nearer the day. we wouldn't have a race with out an unpaid RO (all races not just ES)

Well it gives us time to get ready for it it would be hard to do the preperation not knowing if a place has been secured. I was too late last year with my entry (first week of Janurary)
I have to run off a week of Irish Guinness first then I can start to do some proper training

Only just over 1000ft ascent after Mam Nick. Just goes to show how easy the second half of the race is.
