Anyone know how long the reservation list normally is and how many people on it that eventually get to do it? My application was so late I am not holding out much hope.

Ah well. Even with today's update I'm still not there. I'm still having a recce, though :-).
Edale Skyline Racemaps are now in stock at Lakesrunner. See link below:

I hope the route changes are reflected on the actual maps as the small sample has the old route off loose hill.
Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Yes this is an old sample - i've asked for it to be taken off. The descent from Lose hill goes along the ridge to Back Tor.
Just to let you know that having counted the entries on the 'waiting list' - which in reality is a large box full of envelopes - the race is probably now full. They are numbered in the order of arrival and not processed yet until I can confirm the number of runners with the Nat Park. There are 145 in there now so even if 400 are able to run not everyone will get places.
I don't know where people are on the list or if I have their entry. So please don't be offended when I don't reply to the (many) emails asking this...
There are 30 places for runners who can demonstrate they can challenge for category prizes, which will be available from the end of February. Details will be at www.dpfr.org.uk/pages/3

What will your emergency 200 calories be?
How strict is this emergency 200 calories, because I quite often run with homemade cake, of which I haven't got a clue of the calorific content other than it's most likely over 200! If it's got to be something with labelled calories then a couple of Power Gels (at 110 cals each) will have to do.
