also how difficult is route finding over brown knoll? i'm striking a funny balance between trepidation and excitement at the minute! 4 weeks to go!

If you can find your way to the CP at the trig point on the top of brown knoll the route off is mandatory and should be flagged as far as the prominent fence/wall line and associated path, which will take you all the way off.

Unfortunately I will not be able to take up my place in this year's Edale Skyline and don't want to transfer it for a place in next year's race, so I am offering it to the first FRA forum member who gets in touch with me. Ian has provided details of the the substitution process here: http://www.dpfr.org.uk/pages/3

Obviously, apart from my emailing the RO you will have to meet the race entry criteria and submit an entry form along with the five quid substitution fee.

I am just arranging to get into the Skyline via a Substitution. I have been cutting back on the distance since completing "The Tigger" in Janurary so I am going to have a fun three weeks ahead of me to get the mileage back up again. Went out last night and done 16 miles at 8:40 pace on the Middlewood Way (converted railway line) longest run since The Trigger. It took 2:18 but I need to get in a couple of 3:30 - 4:00hr runs before March 21st.

Last night's run was actually from 9pm to 11:18pm basically after the house is tidied up and the kids are stuffed in their beds, makes it very hard. Maybe having to do it in three weeks may be an advantage!

Is there an updated list out anywhere as when I checked the DPFR site it still seemed to be the original list?

Fingers crossed I may still make it otherwise I will be keeping my eyes open for others offering up their places due to having to pull out.
