Absolutely fantastic race. Many thanks to Dark Peak and all the Marshals, especially the extra water ladies drafted in at Mam Nick. I must have drunk at least 2 litres all told. Some great support on the way round, particularly enjoyed the cow bells! Was a real mental battle for me in the heat, especially the first half but started to feel good in the second half and really pleased to finish. Well done all :thumbup:

Just checked the results, 30 DNF, due the heat? and injury.

Also Lost property...not much this year but If you can tell me what running shoes were left behind and what was in them we'll see what we can do, also a base layer same applies.
I suspect they belong to a DPer due to where they were left?

And you IDP. The Rescue ale gave it away! Much welcomed on the train home I might say. The 30 DNFs don't surprise me at all, I would much prefer it a little chillier this time of year as I'm sure must would, although it was absolutely beautiful up there.

We had a great day yesterday :-). Too hot for our Lab though. She is spending today throwing herself in the river Derwent fetching sticks. Well done to all the runners. Everyone was in great spirits and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the pain. Really looking forward to next year :-) :-) :-)

Great day out round the tops. Views were amazing. Heat is my kryptonite though so good 20 mins slower than usual. Brown Knoll was less boggier than a couple of weeks ago. Put my leg in a bog on way back, it got very stuck, felt like the devil himself wanted my invo8s! Thanks to DP and all for putting on a great event.

My first skyline. Absolutely great day out. Very many thanks to all the DP lads and lasses for organising such a great race, and all the marshals out on the course. Loved the cow bells, could hear them from miles away. 3.31 at the end - absolutely chuffed with that :thumbup:. Re: sun cream, P20 is the way to go imo. Not cheap, but it goes a long way and more importantly it does not either run into your eyes or 'wash' off with sweat.
