I also stopped to help a fellow out of a bog on brown bog! had to get assistance from a passing group it took 2 -3 people to help him out. Thanks to the ROs and marshals, not a good day to be stood around!

A while back I saw a post on the DP site that there are plans to install an pavement over brown knowl. Does anyone know if the pavement will be on the racing line? Will the map have to change .... Bogs -> Tedious Flags
Mark - they are going to flag the path. I'm presuming this will be the green track marked on the OS maps, so a bit off the initial racing line, but this could make the slight detour to it quicker? It's a shame but I can see why they're doing this for moorland preservation purposes.
Rich - it's always a bit boggy just before you reach the final drag to the trig - if solo ensure you take a good look at the ground before you cross it! If you want a GPS trace search Strava. I did once have to be pulled out by CVFR's finest.
Could be an interesting race this year with the champs race the day before expected to have an effect upon the start list.
