It is sad to see the demise of a popular race indeed.

Well I'm not so sure. It will probably come back in a few years and maybe the rest is a good thing. Personally I think pro-actively resting routes for a few years is a good idea.

Got to agree KK. Its a few years since i did it but i remember thinking that it was a contrived route just to get enough climbing in to make it an AM. Neverbeen tempted to return. Obviously popular with others though and always sad to see the demise of a popular race
