And another question . I ran Captain Cooks on new years day which is very likely to be my 'counter' for January where the winners time was 32:31 and I did 40:23 results. So I get how many points? Is it 75.5???

might be an idea to give an example of exactly how to do the score calculation to avoid any confusion and to ensure everybody gets same solution.

by my calculations It would be 80.5

winners time in seconds: 1951
Stollys time in seconds: 2423

1951/2423= 0.8052x100=

80.5 which we'll round up to 81

I'm not racing until March, but I'm liking this idea. I agree, BOFRA races should count - the winning standard is similar to many FRA races. However, I defer to DTS's leadership on this.

Also, I suspect Mrs Noel would like to be included.

Maybe a stupid question, but have I read it right that a total of 6 races count towards your total for the whole year? And that you publish your points every month? Just wanted to make sure I understood it.

few points:
1) LDWA Challenge events aren't strictly fell races, but there's plenty of interest/participation from forumites, plus they have a website listing them - mainly wanting to try to avoid arguing over which races should be allowed on an individual basis (I'm taking a hit myself on this one, as Grindleford Gallop and Four Inns don't qualify )
2) BOFRA are OK.
3) "under FRA rules" was meant to include races that didn't make it into the calendar, but are bona fide fell races - obviously these would have to be open races, not club races.
4) Points Calculation Examples:
converting to seconds is a good first step
then:
Stolly: 2423 secs, compared to 1951 secs
2423-1951 = 472 seconds slower than winner
472/1951 = 24.2% slower than winner
Points = 75.8 = 76 (rounding to nearest, .5 rounds up)
and:
Stagger: 1534 secs, compared to 1038 secs
1534-1038 = 496 seconds slower than winner
496/1038 = 47.8% slower than winner
Points = 52.2 = 52

the idea is, that if you take double the winner's time (or slower) you score zero points.
