One of the most impressive results here is Simon Deakin (AKA Track Fairy) in 24th place, who has now scored in a medal winning team in each of the past 10 years. It's an impressive record for Leeds City AC, and more so for Si, who is the only ever present team member.

Cheers Bryan, its a record I'm very proud of but it seems to be getting tougher every year and the recovery takes longer...but hopefully a couple more in me yet as long as the rest of the lads keep coming up with the goods!

Its amazing how the national is so different every year - what a contrast with last season! But thats the unique joy of the event I suppose.

North Easterns next week at a new venue, Newcastle town Moor, excited the Moor is dead flat though so don't know how interesting the course is going to be?
