Aye, looks like an ace route - I've run on those fells before but never done this race.
My only question - what's the best way to get to Bleasdale from the M6?

Leave M55 at 1st Junction for A6 - up to a right turn - Bilsborrow Lane just a few miles up the A6.
I should be there - hopefully with Mrs WP.
Please car share, where you can. Parking is tight and sharing will save you some money - £1 / car to the village school, we use their playground as an overflow car park. Bring some extra spends, as the ladies will have pie and peas on offer, after the race.
A classic, traditional 'low key' event, in the middle of nowhere, so do allow yourself plenty of time, especially for the final 6 or 7 miles from the A6. Once you find the estate entrance adjacent to Higher Brock Mill, there will be 'Fell Race' signs. W.P.'s route from the A6 will bring you N under the W flank of Beacon Fell - pretty direct.

A lady who parked next to me and Mrs WP left a pair of Inov8 Fell Shoes outside her car and drove off leaving them behind.
She was parked up at the Church.
I've brought them home with me, so anyone knows who she is, or if any of the Bowland Crew have knowledge of it, please PM me.
Ayway, to the race - all going quite well until the top of Fairsnape.
Followed a bunch of 4 or 5 in to the clag and then after about 400m realised we were working our way backwards around the Paddy's Pole route.
I pointed this out to them and lead the bunch back across the moor until we picked up the race route.
Enjoyed it though - at least until that last muddy field - who put that there!
Thanks to Bowland and the people of Bleasdale - had a good day.
Second race on way back to fitness. Good to be out-thanks to all the organisers.
Still too heavy to run
I think I was in the same group as yourself Witton Park, who went off course. I finished in 53 minutes, what time did you do? I think 51 minutes was achievable but for the wrong slot. I'm happy though, as I was 2/3 minutes up on last year. Thanks to the organisers again for what is one the best races in area.
