Elbolton Hill

I've been wanting to devise a short route up and around this for a while now; and with a bit of permission from one of the farmers, i'm now ok to have a run up when i'm back running again. It's a lovely little lump featuring a summit cairn and numerous caves and jingle holes, plus an old mine level. According to local lore it's home to fairies...it's home to lots of rabbits i know that much.

Crazy descent route into Thorpe hamlet.

I used to run up this hill regular as part of a circuit,setting of from Cracoe, up the fell race course to the cairn along the top to Burnsall fell race trig point then down decent route across the fields towards Thorpe then over Kail Hill, Elbolton And Stebden Hill cracking route.

Stebden Hill looked nice too, i didn't get chance to call in at Escoe House and ask permission to go up because of trying to figure out a route on Elbolton. Elbolton is divided down the middle by a wall with only one gate due to property boundaries, so finding a route from Linton which didn't include a section of Thorpe Lane was a challenge.
