Cool How do I carry powder?

    Advice needed!
I need to carry some SIS powder in my bum bag for a carbo drink on a long run so I can just drink from the streams. Anyone got any ideas how to do it without making a mess ? I am thinking about just some plastic bags but where can I buy decent ones which won't split?

    Thanks

Tesco food bags are great they do small medium large, also great for packing kit on MMs and jelly babies for Kinder Trog
Tao begets one. One begets two. Two begets all things.

Best to double bag mate, cos the sticky mess in your bum bag (if they split) is not much fun.

There are some beefed up snaplock bags which fulfill the ground between normal disposable ones and the sort of thing that ready made sauces, soups etc come in ie with properly bonded and sealed bases etc. The ones we use are from Tescos and called "pour and store" and are designed for freezing soups, stews etc. Last well and don't seem to burst open that often. Also good for small first aid kits etc on the hill when climbing etc.

Tecso's zip lock freezer bags every time;Morrisons ones are cr!p. Take a small bendy straw too - saves wearing half of it. Oh and be prepared to have strange looks when carrying it - I'm sure walkers think I'm carryin my own urine down the mountain
