Living in Lancaster, I took a pair to PB's, for resoling, last August ( over 60's bus pass makes for FREE travel ). I got the impression that they just take them 'down the street' to a local cobbler in Kendal?
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

I had a pair of wave harriers resoled by the LSR folk recently, with their own fell sole. Excellent. I'll be taking a pair of walshes along there shortly.
I don't know what the world's coming to; I've only had them a year and they need resoling already. I've already had to change the laces, and now this! Before you know it there'll be scuff marks on the uppers, I bet. And I paid £40 for them too! talk about a rip off, eh?!

What do you do with your fell shoes after a run? Gently sponge them off with pure spring water, slowly dry them naturally by wafting a piece of card over them for two or three days and then wrap them in tissue paper until the next run?

My Walshes sit by the back door between outings and start losing grip noticebly after 3 months but I somehow manage to make them last for another couple of slip slidey months after that.... by which time the uppers are shredded. I guess its because I only ever have one pair of fell shoes at a time and always run in them but resoling would be completely pointless for me
