I would usually agree, but I managed to get it all wrong coming off Robinson a week or so back in the Clagg and ended up on High Snockrigg . I still cannot quite work out how I managed it, but it made for an intersting diversion none the less to an area not previously visited

Its a cracking race am doing it this year. The way off Robinson is easy just go left after the summit and you will soon see the trod down to the path up Hindscarth over to Dale Head there is a little trod to side(right) that avoids the rocky bit before the summit, from the summit its up to you the path is evil ! The fastest way i've found is to drop inside the path down to Honister about half a mile and arc back round as its less steep and easyer to run it might be shorter to just drop but its quite steep and i found slow.On Borrowdale last year some people ahead took the steep way who where ahead and i caught them at the tarn....

I haven't been able to fit a recce in so I'll be mostly following the pack (although I will have a decent map with me and a few pointers from a mate who knows it well). I'm not really trying to be competitive for this one as it's my first proper lakes race so I'm more bothered about enjoying it. Might change my mind on the day if I'm feeling good.
