    Pregnant Birds

Sorry, not as exciting as the title sounds.

How can you tell if your pet bird is pregnant? We have a White Faced Cockatiel and she's had a distended tummy for just over a week so I think she may be pregnant?

New to this bird-keeping lark so was hoping to pick the brains of any experts?

Is she eating really weird food and being sick in the morning ?
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

Don't you need a male and a female to get pregnant? How long have you had her, and do you have (or has she access to) a male?
If not, I don't think you need to worry about her being pregnant..!

We've had her about two weeks since buying her so she may have been fertilised in the pet shop. She seems fine in herself but she's just got a big tummy (or whatever you call it on a bird!)

She's not been craving peanut butter ice cream just yet though, Molehill
