    tonight's cooking

Wife is gone so tonight lonely meal at home...

Penne with ragu di pesce (tomato and white fish) with black olives and capers and chillies.
Side dish will be salad: carrot, pepper, radish, seasoned with evo, rice vinegar (ran out of balsamico), lemon jouice, chilly pepper.
    Caramel gelato with rum.
    Probably a pear.

Sounds great! When I am alone I look forward to chilli sardines on toast, (preferably ciabatta), with walnuts, raisins and tomato paste - takes 5 minutes, delicious, healthy.

Roast pheasant, Missus in charge as usual (I do the washing-up).
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

We don't seem to have any fishfingers in the freezer so we're going to knock up a cheeky souffle. Two questions: what is one? Is red or brown sauce best with it?

    Re: tonight's cooking

    Last night:

    Primo: Risotto:
    Toast cashew nuts.
    Fried beetroot stems.
    Add nuts to fried beetroot.
Add risotto and toast it for 2min.
    Then add chicken stock.
    Near end add chopped spinach.
At end add a bit of butter.
    That's it.
I realized later it was in need of something more punchy, garlic would have done well. Never mind.

    Contorno: Salad:
    Carrot
    Cucumber
    Radish
    Kidney beans
    Chillies
    Vinegar, soya sauce, evo

    Desert: tiramisu:
    savoiardi with decaf and rum
    wisked egg white
    egg red and sugar
    mascarpone
    grated black chocolate
    Cocoa
    It was way too generous...

Can you tell where I'm from?
