    Mudclaw 272 vs 333

Anybody had experience of both? I've tried on 333 - but can't source 272 locally. Is fit/sizing the same in reality? Is there a clear winner? Cheers

The sizing is the same, but I find the 333s ever so slightly narrower. I think this could be down to the extra material in the 333's tougher upper. Both great shoes. I used 333s over winter and have just got a pair of 272s for spring. 272s are discontinued though unfortunately, so you might find them hard to get hold of now. Try somewhere like Lakes Runner, they might be able to get hold of a pair for you. Mudclaw 300 will replace the 333 later this year, I think. It looks awesome.

The sizing is the same as, Hank says it is the material that is different. The mesh and toe rand on the 272 is softer and has more give. I prefer this but it does reduced the amount of support.

I can't get my wide feet into 333s, while the 272s fit me pretty well and I am disappointed that Inov8 have discontinued them .... as Hank says, they're getting harder to source - I know this, I ordered a pair from PBs yesterday (my 4th pair), there aren't many other retailers who have a full range of sizes. Get 'em while you can.

I pray that Inov8 have done their market research and that the 300 is accessible to us fat-footed types .....

Just ordered some. I'm having to send my other ones back to Millets as one of the heels is disintegrating (bought in February).

You know, I think you're right, it is blatant advertising. I do apologise. I mistakenly thought it might be helpful to point someone in the direction of somewhere I knew they might be able to get hold of 272s. What I should have done is carried out extensive research and identified all retail outlets that might be able to do the same and listed them all here. What a fool I've been.
