    Help needed with research!

    Hello Everyone,
I'm conducting some research through Sheffield Hallam University for the Peak District National Park Authority about the impact of recreation on landscape - as one of those lucky people who has the Peak District on my doorstep for running in, this is something I feel quite strongly about and I'd be really interested to know what other people think. You don't have to live in or near the Peak Park; I'm also looking at the situation elsewhere in the UK. I've attached a (very short!) questionnaire to this post in a zipped file - if you have 5 minutes to spare I'd really appreciate it if you could fill it in and email it back to [email protected] .
    Thank you!

Hi ladyoftheswamp. My feedback is that your questionnaire is far too simple. For example I'm against the slabbing of well used paths, something that is continually happening where I live (the Dales), I'm against 4 wheel drive vehicles and motor cross bikes having access to open fell and green lanes, something that I know is seemingly allowed in places, particularly the Peak, but on the other hand would enjoy other things like the long zip wire that was planned for Honister in the Lakes, but failed to get approval, or even the water skiing on Windermere which was banned (although wakeboarding I know sort of gets round it).

I do consider the Dales around where I live to be wild land up on the tops, as is much of the High Peak and anything above the fell gate in the Lake District and I don't think that there is over development; its seems just about right I guess.
