Inov-8 laces are notoriously pants. I normally single knot my shoes, but for all my Inov-8's I have to do a very tight double. It's almost as if they're designed to come undone. No other laces I've used have been so bad. (I'm a fan of the knobbly laces, as seen on the New Balance MT110s and Brooks PureGrits - and elsewhere I'm sure.)

So you've decided to risk the 'less durable' 265s then?

I pulled my left hamstring last November and was still running funny with it for at least the first couple of months with my 300's. I'm guessing that my funny running style, sort of hobbling the range of my left leg, may have caused the problems with my left heel. I can't recall any noticeable difference in stud wear from my previous half dozen pairs of Walshes. As for the 265's well maybe the uppers will just last as long as the soles this time

It will be interesting to see how you get on with the huge amount of miles you do in a racing shoe!

Not much cushioning in the 1 arrow shoes!

I hope so... I bit the bullet and splashed out on a pair mainly on the strength of this forum thread, after destroying my More Mile Cheviot 2's in 100 miles. If I get 4 or 5 times the mileage out of my 300s, then that's good value and I'll be a happy chap!
