It's a proper descenders race dnf. Not for mincers. Lol.
Or did you stop for a picnic at the top?

    Glen Rosa is stunning!

Its only a mile.. and it is steep at the top. I think I wore solomans? not certain..

I emailed and got in late last time.. drop him an email?

I watched Chelsea Bayern there last time.. I hate chelsea.. but I turns out my hatred of scots who hate the english and support anyone but.. is greater.. so loved that game... :-)

But the area is that nice that I woke up.. ran.. went to the race.. ran.. did the race.. got back to my tent and went out and did 10 more miles over the glen rosa tops.. just couldn't stop running that day.. its just a stunning area..

Excellent day but I had a nightmare of a race. I suppose after 8 weeks of illness and injury, it wasn't totally unexpected. Got to the top in reasonable shape but ruined my race by kicking a rock near the summit and struggled to run (combination of pain and loss of confidence) from then on the down hills. Once on the flat lack f fitness really showed and the last mile and a half was tough.

Initially thought I had broken my toe but now appears only to be a bit swollen with a broken nail.

Thoroughly recommend this race. Plus the sandwiches and cakes were 1st class.

We had to escape the camp site. Had tea in a café after the race, got back to the tents and everything was soaked!
