Sounds like great news. With Buttermere at the end of June it will be a real challenge for long race lovers to squeeze in Duddon, Ennerdale, Great Lakes, Buttermere, then Wasdale all in the space of about 6 weeks! A mega 5-race challenge in itself!

I have a feeling that the original race was during the school holidays, maybe early August. Would need to go in the loft and search out my old calendars.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!
Going by the DPFR newsletter the checkpoints for the longer route are
Start Loweswater School
1. Hopegill Head
3. Ard Crags
5. Dale Head
7. High Stile
8. Mellbreak S. Top
finish Loweswater School
you might be right judging from the duration of my weekend foray on the route (blamed it on the weather)
Any news on the resurrection of this beauty yet?
