I did it for the first time. Lovely event and course (I did the full). Nice historic Wild Boar cup to keep for a year. As Darren says, it was truly hot. My hottest ever long race, and I've done a few. Hopefully a good excuse for my slow winning time!
First Yomp for me yesterday. I finished the Full Yomp in 5h15, a time I'm happy with after dropping out of the Three Peaks this year. I was very grateful for the water in the heat and I am now badly sunburnt! As Daz says it was great to see the full horseshoe route on the tops and I was very happy to arrive at Nine Standards knowing only the fell race descent was ahead of me.
