Thank you Mr Conan. I've just disgraced myself again!
He's right and I do miss my old 3.2 carrera. It was like climbing into an old biplane....smell of leather and oil, basic instrumentation, then that unique clatter and whirr when you fired it up. No driver aids so you got the pure steering and braking feel. And the feeling of being pushed rather than pulled by a motor is terrific.
I agree with Clarkson, they are nothing more than glorified VW Beetles....but that is what makes them so good!
My 996 is great but anodyne. Anyone want to buy it??
