how do you respond to requests from work collegues who you dont particulary like ? i normally accept them to keep the peace .

My old boss was on facebook and I got a friend request off him, I didn't like him so I just rejected his request. I don't think it improved anything, I think he knew I thought he was a knob. If anything it didn't help, but being as it's personal preference there was nothing he could do.

I've not had this work colleague issue - generally I get on with my colleagues as friends and it's fine to have them as FB friends...It helps that I don't use my married name at work, but I do on Facebook...
However... We have an apprentice who has added a few of us, and he is the most random odd character, I am not too sure I want him knowing anything about me!

I remember a couple of years ago there was a "do you use facebook" thread. That caused a real flurry of new friends!

Well despite being a facebook luddite for ages, I really like it now. First off people only really ever post positive things on it (unlike this place), secondly there are lots of fantastic pictures (especially from Wharfego if you're his friend), thirdly you can get updates from all sorts of places (I get National Geographic, Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Guardian, Striding Edge and, well, all sorts) and its not all inane ramblings...... most of the time (oh and sorry for mine Dom ). If anyone on here wants to add me I'm Brian Stallwood.
