Lantern Pike Fell Race was my first fell race. I remember Ricky Wilde won it, but i still remember the realisation dawning on me that i was way out of my depth, which wouldn't have been difficult in those days as i'd have been out of my depth in a bird bath in the fields back then.

Ricky Wilde now comes on the fells alternate Thursdays with Altrincham & District AC.
Tomorrow we are at Wildboarclough for a run which visits Lud's Church organised by Erno.
