If only you'd been on the cfr swim night last Tuesday.......
Have a look at cfr member's strava for the route

    Be prepared for midges.

Also start saving up for the beer..... shocked and stunned were we on Tuesday night

Thanks, sorted. Yes, it's a worry when midges can fly as fast as I can run!!

Yep it goes like this: Pub, through village and over bridge, turn right follow path to dock tarn, Follow path to Watendlath (partly flagged)Follow track from Watendlath almost to Rosthwaite. Marshal will point you along the path to join the track back to the bridge and the pub.

Meant to ask you about the drone... you creating a flashy after race video? Moved up in the technological world? Too much time on your retired hands?
Or was it a new level of monitoring the flagged route..... disqualifications to follow?

I note you didn't have it listed as a hazard. Which it clearly is.
I heard a huge buzzing, thought it was insect based and looked around to see what enormous cloud of cross stingy things was after me. Nearly joined you in the sling wearing club.
It came at me directly out of the sun later on. Ran blind for 50 yards.......

Quick heads up for Langstrath on Wednesday night. £5, great scenic route, starts and finishes at a pub what's not to like? Parking at borrowdale school (who get all the profit from the race!)
