Kendal Asda of all places had the 2009 remasters of Neil Young's first four albums on sale for £12. I couldn't resist, so I now have old CD copies of After the Gold Rush and Harvest going spare. Yeah, I think they (ATGR and Harvest) sound better, less compressed. Not a huge difference though. I bought the set as I didn't have his first two albums... don't think I'd have bothered just for the remastered sound quality as I can't say I'd noticed any problems with the original CDs.
