They certainly were in 1998 (good grief was it really that long ago?!) and given that hardly anyone goes that way I imagine they still are.
What the An stac Screes?
They are OK, quite a lot of bare rock there too really. But I was last there 2005? I think.

Of course runners are unlikely to spot good trundles given that most races avoid source areas, climbers on the other hand....
It has to be said that most of the obvious or easy ones have gone, especially in the Lakes and N. Wales, however Scotland has plenty left.
