Yes, they do cost a lot... especially when they get older. Mind, mine has been good. Only ever had to pay for normal wear and tear stuff like tyres and the like. I knew the cam belt needed doing this year, so reserved some funds for that. Should be good for a fair while yet again now

The disc was weird, just one had worn a lot and my friend noticed it when he was swapping my tyres around (I have winter wheels on the front in bad conditions but ordinary ones on the back and he was swapping them over for me). The mechanic that deals with my car couldn't see a reason why it had worn so much and has now given it the all clear. Got to get some clonky bit changed soon too...he did tell me what it was but I've forgotten. Thank god its economical fuel-wise because it certainly costs a lot to maintain!
