    Red Bull Steeple Chase Peaks

Anyone been accepted into this? My partner got his entry confirmation today. Looks a lot of fun and it's right in our back yard. Certainly looks a bit different. I'm going to be on duty counting them through just after the 2nd elimination stage to let him know if he should give a good push or give up lol :-)

The Windgather race has been moved to that date! Only a fiver to enter but I wonder how much the Red Bull race cost - can't have been much cos it's already full!!

Think it was £25 so not that bad compared to some. Yes, you can get a race for a fiver if you want but guess it's up to you what you want to pay.
If you want to pay it you do if you think it's too steep don't enter :-)
Thing with this one is training is literally out the back door so no travel costs. The route comes right behind our cottage :-)

I am in for this .. i was thinking of doing it in trainers.. does anyone know whether this would be ok? or are fell/trail shoes required.

Bit of a unique format - should be fun.. no idea whether i am training for a 10m run ro 21 mile one!!

You will definitely need fell/trail shoes.

Definitely Fell shoes! Also a boat if they want to keep the river crossing at Bamford lol. It's completely impassable at the moment. The start is a bit brutal too, looks like you are all going to have fun. My hubby is running it. I shall be in Wales on a "Postural Assessment" course
Hopefully warm and dry :-) x

I might be doing this now as someone my girlfriend knows has offered their place. Hadn't heard of it before tonight.

Does anyone know if the route will be well marked as I'm not familiar with the area?

    Thanks.

I'll be marking part of the first section! I believe it will be well marked. course looks good with bits of the skyline and the HPM being part of the route.
