Have you seen any photos - there were a couple of photographers on the course and I'd like to relive the pain!

No medal or t shirt or banana! but I really appreciate the trouble the photographer's gone to with the photos.
By the way I don't want a medal. And I certainly don't deserve one

Thanks for that. It was a really well organised race and nice touch by the photographer to name all the finishers. Feel bad for saying the course was "dull" now - the scenery was lovely, but I just found that hard stoney path a bit relentless, esp in the heat...

    James Herriot trail race

Anyone doing it ? there will be a contingent from Abbey Runners in Leeds. Picnic-ing afterwards on the green by the castle and then serious drinking in Ripon. No doubt the coach driver will have numerous requests for ' comfort breaks ' on the way home.Sir Edmund Slackbladderaka Dave

We're taking a coach party from Kippax. Hope to be running it. I seem to have been trying to shake off a groin/thigh injury for ages. Our serious drinking will take place in Leyburn.

Hope you know that it's the 1940s day in Leyburn again this weekend -http://www.leyburn1940sweekend.co.uk/

We're going to Ripon on the way back instead because of this.

There was more to do in Ripon than in Masham for us non-drinkers. Plus it's only an hour back to Leeds from there, necessitating less "can we stop for a wee" requests on the way home
