    Music Festivals - Glastonbury

Glastonbury - Sort of getting a very empty feeling having been to the last two.

Guess Ill just have to watch the BBC coverage tonight.

Does anyone on here get to any music festivals.

I'm off to a small one soon in Oxford called Truck.

This festival was great for the last 5 years until the NME got there hands on it last year and said its the New Glastonbury.

This year it was very difficult to get tickets, but I managed. Im expecting it to be full of chavs this year who dont know an awlful lot about music and like to take lots of drugs.

    Sigh

It does happen, but its easy to avoid.

I once went to V it was horrible, people fighting the stewards where threatening and tents where being slashed.

At places like truck and glasto (to some extent), you kind of get kids with parents and stuff like that.

You do get some drugs but its the kindo of hippy stuff and its not in your face lie the new so called recreatinal stuff (not that I know anything about this kind of stuff)

My little town is hosting the The National Eisteddfod of Wales this year...so I'm expecting much the same...except it will be all in Welsh.

Glastonbury? They're welcome to it these days. The dying days of the musical corporate whores.

Is it true that this year they've vip areas for watching bands and executive tenting?

It has lost its appeal to me slightly this year,

I sort of decided not to go when a few guys in my office, started buying hippy style clothes off a website specially to wear at glasto.

I now wish I was not so pig headed, and just gone. There loads of places to escape.

    My loss I suppose

Well now you mention it, the old man did swear that on the final descent off Dalehead he could hear a heavenly choir singing.

Then again, I suppose that might have had something to do with his soul preparing to leave his body as he collapsed in a heap at Dalehead Tarn.

    Woof!
But I would not be convicted by a jury of my peers.
