    xc age grading

    we have a 17year old lad in our club, his birthday was late august, does anyone know wether he would run in u17s or u20s on the xc circuit? thanks in advance

    Rule 507(iv)
    (iv) Junior Men and Women
    Cross Country competitions for Junior Men and Women shall be
    confined to competitors who are aged 17, 18 or 19 on 31st August
    prior to the commencement of the Competition Year as defined
    above.

    Competition year is Oct 1st 2012 onwards so the operative date is 31/8/12 when he was 16 ie U17.

    He's U20 as he was 17 by 31/8/12
