    Peak District fell running

    Hi all i live in Chesterfield and currently training for the Lakeland 100 next year which Im running for Cancer Research UK is there any groups that get out in the Peaks with mid week night runs long distance fell runs and runs dusk till dawn. Any help would be vreat thanks

    Yeah the Dark Peaks

    Was thinking of joining the dpfr but i like running with my boxer dog so didnt think they would allow this but still thinking about it not sure about my fitness to join though to join. I just ran the edale skyline in 3hr 48min at the week end dont know if thats a good time

    that is a very respectable time. It would probably get you into the top half of the field. I was 4:10 this year and about 15 places outside the top half.

    For Pennine, a bit far from Chesterfield to Hayfield, DPFR is probably the handiest club with a strong fell running presence.

    If you fancy coming out for a trot let me know. The dog would be welcome if it's under control. we have 3 or 4 other runners with Collies who run.

    MB, I would take Ian up on this offer if I were you. There isn't a better companion or mentor out there. He knows the area better than most.

    Shes no trouble just loves been out more than i do so dont see the point leaving her at home when she can be out enjoying it with everyone
